Regenerating water also means regenerating access

September 18, 2025

When we talk about water regeneration, many imagine advanced technologies, reuse, desalination, or NbS. But regeneration also happens when a community gets safe access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, WASH.

This is where 𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 comes in. It transforms social progress into measurable water impact:

💦 Volumes of safe water accessed are translated into Volumetric Water Benefits (VWBs).
💦 These VWBs align with the Net Positive Water Impact (NPWI) framework.
💦 Corporations can report WASH projects with the same rigor as reuse or efficiency investments.

It’s a paradigm shift: access becomes regeneration, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴- 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰, 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟳 𝗦𝗗𝗚𝘀. Our Aqua Positive Marketplace already hosts 100+ projects proving this impact can be measured, verified, and scaled as WaterPositive.

🌍 By 2050, the world faces dramatic forecasts on water scarcity and inequity. But the future doesn’t have to look like the projections. If we act now, regeneration ensures that no one is left behind.

🚀 Because regenerating water isn’t only about nature and infrastructure. It’s about people. It’s about dignity. And it’s about building a future where every liter counts, in basins, in supply chains, and in communities. 💦 🌱
