CEO
As CEO of Aqua Positive, Esther González leads the company’s mission to drive Water Positive solutions through innovation, sustainability, and strategic impact. With a deep understanding of water management and sustainable development, she focuses on creating transformative projects that integrate technology, environmental responsibility, and global collaboration. Passionate about ensuring a sustainable water future, Esther believes in turning challenges into opportunities, fostering solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and has completed a PDD (Programa de Desarrollo Directivo) at ESADE and Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
Gabriel Blejman
Chief Innovation Director
Gabriel Blejman is a Life Cycle Assessment specialist and Circular Economy strategist, dedicated to integrating sustainability, decarbonization, and water-positive solutions into corporate strategies. As a partner at Aqua Positive, he helps companies worldwide achieve their environmental goals through a combination of nature-based solutions, cutting-edge technologies, and strategic partnerships. With over 13 years of experience in life cycle analysis, eco-design, and circular innovation, Gabriel has led numerous projects that enhance the environmental performance of products, processes, and organizations. Passionate about knowledge sharing, he has developed and taught over 100 training courses in sustainability-related fields, bridging the gap between academia and industry to drive impactful change.
Borja Blanco

With over 25 years of experience in the water industry, Borja Blanco specializes in desalination, water treatment, and global project development. As Managing Partner at Aqua Advice and Partner at Aqua Positive, he provides strategic guidance to companies seeking to develop projects, implement technologies, and expand globally. His extensive expertise and network are invaluable in connecting with key decision-makers and authorities in the water sector, driving impactful and sustainable solutions.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from Madrid University and a BA in Finance from Humberside Business School, UK.
Alejandro Sturniolo

With over 25 years of experience in the water sector, Alejandro Sturniolo leads sustainability strategy at Aqua Positive, transforming knowledge, technology, and innovation into impactful Water Positive solutions. His expertise spans nature-based solutions (NBS), impact investing, and sustainability risk management (SRM), always seeking to connect water with environmental and social progress. Alejandro believes that real change comes from action, not just awareness, and his mission is clear: to anticipate water challenges and create solutions that ensure a sustainable future for all.
